If you are lucky enough to have a long love in your life — a partner, a mother, a grown child, a friend — cherish that relationship in all its complexity, its continual unfolding, and its richness.
"There are seasons in life that seem to last forever. Then there are mornings when you wake up and realize an entire decade has passed.
You’re older, you’re different, and your former selves feel like distant memories. When you roll over and see the person lying next to you, you realize that they, too, have changed. It’s not necessarily a bad thing—this unfamiliar face in your bed — it’s just that they no longer resemble the person you fell in love with years or even decades ago."
With colder weather and holiday guests arriving soon, we're updating our bedding with warm quilts and cozy comforters. And after testing dozens firsthand, these are our very favorites!
🧂 For the salt aficionado: Curious what the best brand is for cooking salt? These chefs named which was their favorite — and they all agreed on the same one.

📝 A good question: What seasonal traditions do you observe during autumn?
From Kate Arceo, Community Manager
"No matter how many times we would wash our bath towels, they still perpetually smelled like mildew. I hesitated to invest in high-quality bath towels because our bathroom doesn't have great ventilation, so wouldn't we just have new towels, but the same problem? So when I learned about Geometry's Waffle Towels that are ultra absorbent and quick-drying, I was intrigued. We've been using them for a few weeks now and the scent of mildew is gone — no one is more shocked and relieved than me! Bonus? These bath sheets are made from post-consumer recycled materials, reducing the amount of waste in landfills and repurposing them instead." [Check it out]
A reader comment we love:
"We live in a small town about an hour outside of Austin Texas and it’s just been so great for our kids and family. We moved here about 3 years ago, bought a little land and built a home. My husband and I are blessed to work from home so it’s such a great set up since we’re 30 min from a decent grocery store. We have 2 boys, 5 and 3. They ride dirtbikes, chase bugs, yell at the cows to “get off our lawn” the public schools are incredible, all of the teachers and staff are so invested in the children, we are so lucky and blessed to live a slower kind of life ❤️Settling down is not bad at all 💕"
