Although I haven’t had breast cancer myself, I have been impacted by the disease in a number of ways. My grandmother and aunt had it, and my mother and I live with dense, cystic breast tissue (which is a risk factor). One of my best friends recently rang the bell after her last chemotherapy treatment. Chances are, you know someone with a similar experience, too.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we want to offer a list of resources to help you or a loved one navigate the journey from diagnosis and prevention to remission. |

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women in the United States. The American Cancer Society estimates that approximately 321,910 women will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in 2026, and another 60,730 women will be diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), which is a noninvasive type.
While breast cancer rates are increasing by about 1% each year, the death rates have been decreasing steadily since 1989. Early detection, better treatments, and increased awareness all play a role in reducing the risk and improving the outlook.
Speaking of increasing awareness, that’s where we come in! Below, find a list of educational articles that can help you better understand this type of cancer and protect your health before, during, and after a diagnosis. |
