I knew that something called NPR existed, but I couldn’t have told you what the “N,” the “P” or the “R” stood for.  Once I tuned in, my world expanded. The stories I started hearing, along with the people I met as a journalist at KPCC, made me begin questioning the narrative I’d told myself about myself. It ignited my curiosity about the world and about other people. It gave me room to start telling new stories. It turns out that's what the “N,” “P” and “R” are all about.
