In a Nutshell
When the hotter days of summer come around, you may be tempted to stay inside and lie around all day. Or maybe that's just me? My favorite activity is to take a cool shower, then chill on my couch with the AC blasting.
Despite the heat, it's still possible to do many things indoors and out. We asked our team about their favorite activities to do during hot days. Keep reading for their answers.

What are your favorite things to do when it's too hot out?
"Lay out by a pier with friends! The post-pier shower and nap are wildly refreshing." — Kenny Thapoung, managing newsletter editor
"I love to make popsicles and enjoy them outside before going indoors to read in the AC." — Naomi Farr, engagement editor
"Outside, my activities need to be near some body of water (e.g., pool, beach, lake). Inside, I love me a nice cold movie theater." — Adam Balderrama, senior technical project manager
"Cycling is its own air conditioning. A ride along the seafront here, especially into a breeze, is a great way to enjoy the sights and sounds, and cool down a little." — Tim Snaith, newsletter editor
"If I have to be outside, getting iced coffee and finding shade to enjoy the weather, but I prefer sitting inside in a sweat-free environment with AC." — Parisa Syed, commerce editor
"Alternating between swimming and lying in the shade next to the water." — Heather Hobbs, growth editor
"If I need to work outside, I try to do it early or late. Everything else revolves around water. Watering flowers or cleaning off the house with a hose doesn't feel like a chore. Relaxing time is either spent at a lake or sitting in an inflatable pool (I don't even care what people think)!" — Heidi Smith, coaching operations manager

Windmill Window Air Conditioner
Windmill Window Air Conditioner
When my old air conditioner broke (just in time for a 95°F heat streak), I needed to find a replacement ASAP. I've seen Windmill's ACs all over my social media feeds for years now and have always wanted to give it a try myself.

I recently got the 6,000 BTU unit, which effectively cools down my large bedroom. It's easy to install, quiet (yet just enough sound for a nice white noise vibe), and looks nice in my window. I also love the smartphone app that lets me manage both my AC and desk fan settings wherever I am, as long as I'm connected to Wi-Fi.
