Jessica Valenti says, “I don’t really care, do you?” (Also, go buy Valenti’s new book.) Kristin Cavallari broke up with her 24-year-old boyfriend. “He needs to experience life,” she says. A good time to re-read my piece on moms in age-gap relationships, perhaps. Garth Greenwell writes of that tampon scene in All Fours: “Davey gives her back an experience of herself, of her body, and makes it weird, foreign, monstrous maybe but also mythic, maybe even a little heroic.” Fascinated by some of the assumptions here about how to effectively speak to cis men about abortion access (i.e. beer, bros, and “don’t mess with my family” messaging).
