Join us on May 12 for a free, live panel conversation on how to best support students with eating disorders. Hosted by the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA), in collaboration with ADAA, the panel features Rachel Curran, LPC, and ADAA member expert Jenna DiLossi, PsyD, ABPP. Eating disorders are serious mental and physical health conditions that often begin during adolescence and can affect students' well-being, learning, and relationships. These conditions often co-occur with anxiety, and through this session, we aim to empower school staff by exploring:
- Warning Signs and Symptoms
- How to Have Compassionate Conversations with Students and Caregivers
- How to Support Students and Caregivers through Treatment
In recognition of May as Mental Health Awareness Month, this conversation also highlights the connection between teen mental health, anxiety, and eating disorders. As summer approaches, many students experience added pressure around body image and changing routines, which can heighten anxiety and bring forward or intensify disordered eating behaviors. This session offers timely guidance to help school staff recognize these shifts and support students with care and confidence during this transition -- register today! |
