Happy Saturday! I had a dream this week that left an impression. I’ve always been a vivid dreamer, and at 30-something weeks pregnant, my dream life is especially intense. In this one, I was revisiting many of the major milestones of my adulthood—getting married, moving to Los Angeles, purchasing the domain name for The Good Trade, seeing the utterly astonishing two lines that meant my firstborn was coming. In the dream I was hovering above telling myself: get excited, get excited, get excited. There was this sense from my older self that it all works out. In real time, I was excited for all of those moments, but I was also afraid of the unknown. I was both pressing forward and steeling myself for possible disappointment, failure, and loss. I carried bravery, but not the knowing that comes when you can see the end from the beginning...
