"My husband and I are on a mission to watch all of the Academy Awards Best Picture nominees this year ahead of the Oscars in March. We started with "Bugonia," which was really great! It's kind of freaky, and definitely messes with your head, but in the fun way that good movies do." [Check it out] |
One reader's relationship with her hair:"As a redhead, I had a tumultuous relationship with my hair growing up. I always felt like I stuck out when I didn't want to be seen, and kids were quite brutal about my ginger locks. I spent my tweens and teens begging my mom to let me dye my hair. She never let me, and I am glad she didn't. As I got older and more comfortable in my skin, I learned to love the thing that makes me so unique. I stopped worrying about being perceived and started paying more attention to how I could let myself exist without worrying about labels. My hair is no longer a source of shame. It is unequivocally me. I could change my hair, but as a part of my journey of self-discovery and acceptance, I would rather let it change naturally on its own. One day I will go gray, and that will be another part of my journey, too." - HH |
