Anxiety and Depression Association of America

Join us for a free, live Q&A webinar on Thursday, January 22 with ADAA member expert and author Larry Cohen, LICSW, to discuss his book Overcoming Shame-Based Social Anxiety & Shyness: A CBT Workbook to Move Past Feelings of Self-Consciousness or Defectiveness and Live with Confidence.

Many people struggle with self-critical thoughts, fear of judgment, or the belief that they're "not good enough," which can quietly sabotage confidence and relationships. This session will explore how these challenges develop and offer practical, evidence-based strategies to overcome them.

From this discussion, participants will learn how to:

  • Challenge self-critical thoughts that fuel anxiety, fear, and isolation
  • Reframe shame-based beliefs that keep you feeling flawed or unworthy
  • Build authentic confidence through self-compassion and proven strategies for meaningful connection
