the world needs more good news
We do good news differently
In a world filled with cynicism, we need more than cheesy, feel-good stories. We need good news that leads to real change.
Refresh social media or your news app and you'll see a new slew of bad news. In response, one of two things happens:
- People pay way too much attention to the bad things in the world and then completely burn out in a flaming ball of cynicism; or
- People bury their heads in the sand, shutting off bad news from the outside world and ignoring the injustices others face.
While the rest of the world is tuning out or burning out — we're helping you choose a third option that leads to genuine hope and real change.
For us, when we see heartbreak, pain, and injustice in the world, we look closer and lean on the wisdom of Mister Rogers, who said: "Look for the helpers. You'll always find people helping."
And he's right — we always find them. You'll read about them in the Goodnewsletter: stories of progress, inspirational helpers, and reasons to be legitimately hopeful.
Our good news goes one step further
When we see a problem, and we find people creating solutions — it's natural to want to get involved and help, too.
But sometimes, we don't know the best, most effective way to do that — or if it will even make a difference at all. That's why we'll also provide action steps that actually will make a difference.
We're so glad you're a part of this scrappy community of hopeful do-gooders, dead set on filling the world with more good.
