Last weekend, my husband and I drove the three hours down from Seattle to Portland. The occasion? My tattoo appointment with Jaime, the incredible talent behind Black Marrow Tattoo. The itinerary otherwise? Unplanned. We ended up cobbling together a sweet adventure (with some expected pitfalls—think parking troubles and humidity and a sandwich spot that gave us both tummy aches). But the highs were high, and you better believe I documented them in my sketchbook!
