Unlike with canning, fridge pickles don't require you to sterilize the supplies. All you need to do is bring the brine to a boil, pour it over your vegetable of choice, and let your jar cool to room temperature before placing it in the fridge. They're so quick, they should be called "quickles" instead! | Don't feel like you have to follow this recipe to a T. One of the best parts about making pickles at home is that you can switch up the brine. This may be especially important if you follow a low sodium diet but still want to enjoy the satisfying crunch of a pickle. Don't shy away from playing with the spices and herbs you add, too!
