Over the past few years, I've made an intentional effort to speak to myself as I speak to others, and also to speak to others as I'd speak to myself. This means offering advice with honesty, openness, and generosity. Basically, I'm only giving advice that I'd like to be given.

"I tried and tested Merit makeup to see if it was the perfect minimalists' dream (it was!) but I know that the price point can be a non-negotiable for so many of us. Great news! Merit's founder has another brand, Versed, and they just released their first makeup products — which you can buy at Target. One reader's podcast reco:
"I've been loving the podcast 'Similar But Different' (@similarbutdifferentpod). It's raw, unfiltered conversations between two friends about everyday life — from ketchup to sugar daddies, to decoupage and whether you'd rather know when or how you die. Their content is so relatable and I feel like I'm sitting right on the couch with them!"– Thanks, BZ!
