My family and I are on a road trip in northern California to close out the year along the coast. We're tuning into these indie-folk tunes for a gentle seaside soundtrack. 🎶 - AmyAnn
Our editor slept on dozens of nontoxic and organic cotton sheets — all from ethical brands that prioritize your health, comfort, ease of care, and long-lasting durability. These are her top picks.
Our editor makes these marshmallows every year, and says they are easier than you think — and customizable! (She adds peppermint extract to the vanilla for her signature treats.) But be warned: You'll never go back to the bag after this.

📝 A good question: What is something you're proud of yourself for in 2024?

"If you're looking for a fun, holiday-themed read to crush over a couple of cocoas by the fire one evening, you have to pick up 'The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year' by Ally Carter. This book is a romp — it combines all the best things of a cozy 90's mystery show (think: the sudden disappearance of a wealthy, enigmatic celebrity writer from a huge, isolated English manor two days before Christmas in the middle of a winter storm) with the enemies-to-lovers fun of a classic aughts rom com (the banter, the competition, the this-has-to-be-a-misunderstanding-reveal!) with a cast of characters straight from CLUE. I am enjoying the hardcover, but I also recommend the audiobook — the hero is performed by Zachary Webber, one of the best spicy romance narrators in the game." [Enjoy]
A reader comment we love:
"At 56, I feel like I am still reinventing myself, not to social norms or pressures but to the true inner passions and desires. I know my worth and I am very excited for the next chapter. I get to focus on me and in a good way, don't care what others think or say. I listen to my inner voice and trusted inner circle. Very thought provoking and inspiring article."
