Te Wiki o te Reo Māori (Māori Language Week)

This week, we celebrate Te Wiki o te Reo Māori (Māori Language Week) and recognize the importance of te reo Māori in fostering resilience, connection, and a sense of belonging, which can positively impact our mental wellbeing. At Anxiety NZ, we encourage you to explore and use te reo Māori as a powerful tool for supporting taha hinengaro (mental wellbeing) through cultural identity and language.

Let's continue to uplift each other:

💬 "Kia kaha, kia māia, kia manawanui" - Be strong, be brave, be steadfast.
💬 "He oranga ngākau, he pikinga waiora." - Positive feelings in your heart will raise your sense of self-worth.
