As in, May is here. As in, I get married in two weeks. As in, holy shit.  But before we get to all of that, April was quite the month. My first book came out, there were days warm enough to leave my jacket at home, and Lizzy McAlpine dropped a new album (more on that later).  Best of all, my parents surprised me with a visit in order to attend my book event this past Tuesday night. Yes, I cried, and no, I have not recovered.  They’re obsessed with me, and I’m obsessed with them! Now, for the rest of April’s best: SOUNDS As I mentioned: Lizzy McAlpine. Her music is so tender and sweet, and her latest record Older is no exception.  “Belly Ring,” the new single from Blue Hawaii. Makes me want to go dancing? Haven’t felt that urge in a minute! Chappell Roan in general. She’s my official soundtrack of windows-down car rides.   I’ve had the song “Wolf Like Me” by Lera Lynn and Shovels & Rope on repeat.
