Haley Wrote This is a reader-supported newsletter. If it has brightened your inbox, please consider supporting it by becoming a paid subscriber, sharing it, and/or subscribing down below! I’m so glad you’re here. My friend Syd and I have been close since we were thirteen years old. Our relationship has endured both decades and distance—from having weekly Friday night sleepovers to attending colleges in different states to today, living on opposite sides of the country and keeping up with a podcast-worthy catalog of daily voice memos. Long distance friendships are tough and don’t get enough credit, IMO. There are some nights where all I want to do is have Syd over for fancy-grocery-store cake and a sci-fi parody movie night. But she lives in Nashville and I’m in Seattle. It’s not going to happen without a plane ticket and some planning. I don’t have an easy fix for the pain of living far from people we love. But I do have some methods that have helped keep my pals close, even when we’re time zones apart. Thanks to my Patreon friends for voting on this topic (and as a reminder, starting in April all my Patreon perks will be moved over to this newsletter). See ya next week! Haley Wrote This is written by me (Haley Weaver!) and occasionally edited by my brilliant younger brother, Graham Weaver.
