| Advertisement | June is PTSD Awareness and Pride Month! This month reminds us to recognize trauma, celebrate identity, and support one another. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) affects millions, often silently, and can stem from experiences such as war, abuse, accidents, or disasters. Early support and treatment can be life-changing.
During Pride Month we recognize and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, while also highlighting the mental health challenges this community disproportionately faces, such as higher rates of anxiety, depression, and trauma. Discover free resources for the LGBTQ+ community.
Whatever your story, know that you're not alone and that support is available. Visit ADAA.org for free evidence-based resources and self-help tools. | Mental Health Resources Available from the National Center for PTSD The Department of Veterans Affairs National Center for PTSD offers guides, tools, and resources on PTSD and PTSD treatment for Veterans, their family and friends, and other trauma survivors. No matter what you've experienced, you are not alone — and there are treatments and resources that can help support your mental health and well-being.
Among these resources is a full suite of mobile apps, including: - Self-help apps like PTSD Coach assist people with managing symptoms and finding support while living with PTSD.
- Treatment companion apps like CPT Coach support people completing an evidence-based treatment for PTSD, and are designed to be used alongside professional treatment.
- And others, like Insomnia Coach or Pain Coach, provide support for specific symptoms often associated with PTSD.
Visit ptsd.va.gov/mobile for a full list of apps including download links. You can also watch short videos exploring the apps and their features on YouTube.

Learn More | Mental Health Resources for the LGBTQ+ Community LGBTQ+ individuals are three times more likely to experience a mental health disorder than those who are straight. Many face trauma, discrimination, and stigma, especially if they also belong to other marginalized groups.
Nearly 40% of LGBTQ+ adults report a mental illness each year, yet bias in healthcare — including being denied care — can make getting support harder. These barriers often stop people from receiving the help they deserve.
