| | It's officially June, which means we're almost halfway through the year. Can you believe it?! I can't. | Today, our team shares how we're pacing toward our 2025 personal health goals. Some of us are doing well, and others (like me) … not so much. Hey, we're only human! At least we're honest. | I hope you've taken a moment to reflect on any progress you've made toward reaching your goals this year. If not, please accept our offer (later on in this newsletter) to do some self-reflection and share your thoughts with us. | | | | We got this, Morgan Mandriota Newsletter Editor, Healthline | | | Written by Morgan Mandriota June 9, 2025 • 4 min read | | | | | | |
| | | Life update: Everyone's doing well(-ish) | "My goal was to 'ditch the all-or-nothing mindset.' I've gotten better with food (only very recently, and with the help of medication) and relationships (I actually reach out to friends more!). But I'm still finding it difficult not to have that mindset for exercise and self-worth." — Ren Dias, editor | "Happy to report that I'm crushing goal #1 by attending a twice-weekly strength training class. Goal #2 was to breathe through my nose more, but I'm realizing that I may need surgery to actually make this happen." — Ginger Wojcik, newsletter editor | "One of my goals has been to try socializing more with new groups of people I don't know to stretch my comfort zone a bit. So far, in 2025, I've joined a makerspace (sewing, jewelry-making, etc.) and co-work from there sometimes. I've also branched out by doing a presentation on CBD at the other co-working space that I go to. It's helped to support my extroversion and meet new possible friends! I feel much better when I work outside of my home and get to interact with people, so I'm proud of my progress so far." — Christy Snyder, engagement editor | "My 2025 health 'resolution' was to drink more water. Even though I know how important it is to stay properly hydrated, I never drink enough. I'm sad to say that I haven't gotten any better at drinking more water (yet) this year. I keep a water bottle by my side all the time, but even still, it doesn't help. If anyone has any tips for me, please send them my way!" — Morgan Mandriota, newsletter editor | "My goal was also to be more social. It's hard since some of my friends from college have moved out of the area, but I've been calling friends for a couple of hours (sometimes while playing video games together or doing chores!) and hanging out in person with people who are still in the area. I'd say I'm way more social than last year, so I'd call this a win!" — Sarah Choi, engagement editor | "I stopped vaping just between Christmas and New Year, and it's been fine on the whole, but I have fallen off the wagon a little recently. So that's a fail, but I know how to get back on the wagon." — Tim Snaith, newsletter editor | Over to you: What are your goals for 2025? And how's your journey going so far?
